How It Started

How did I come to write gay superhero fiction?

Robin Made Me Gay!

Well, no, he didn't... but damn if it didn't feel that way sometimes. Watching Burt Ward, a 19yo man playing a 15/16yo boy in tight trunks, being tied up, struggling in the grip of burly henchmen and then breaking free to bust some heads with Batman.... it spoke to me. I was too young to understand what it was saying, though.

But I got the message quick enough. I love superheroes.

Sparked by reruns of the '66 Batman TV show, various animated fare, and of course the comics themselves, superheroes were the way to go. Later, when I started writing, there were almost no superhero novels (literally, like you could count them on the fingers of one hand and have fingers left over) or stories outside of comic books. So, I wrote my own. And posted them. And... people liked them. I didn't become internet-famous or anything, but I liked doing it.

Now, there are hundreds of novels and more coming all the time thanks to the success of the Marvel movies, the Superman and Batman movies, and a whole lot more.

About ten years ago I started doing 3D superhero porn and have not stopped since. Yeah. it's kinda niche but it's what I like doing. I've tried doing other things with it, but... nah. dudes in capes and tights are still my thing. I did that for a number of years, and then I got back into writing. And finally, after a lot of stops and starts, I wrote Black Tiger: Torment. My first novella. And I self-published it. Then I did Spellbound. and that gave me the skills and confidence to attempt a full novel. Which is Slayer's Rain. There will be more, too, and you'll see it unfold here.

Thanks, everyone. And thank you. Robin, for getting captured, gassed, drugged, chained, stunned, knocked out and, of course, tied up. A lot.
